Project director- Construction
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Project Director with a strong technical background in Master Planning to lead and oversee large complex projects within our organization.
He will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of a project to ensure the quality is a high standard, and that it is running to the timescales allowed.
Job Description:
• Leads the Management of the design work and construction activities during and completes the project within the budgeted schedule and cost.
• Monitoring build progress, overseeing finance and ensuring project quality.
• Making strategic decisions and providing leadership and direction to project managers to implement those decisions.
• Meeting with clients, stakeholders and project managers to report on project progress.
• Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships
• Manages project risks and implements a risk mitigation plan.
• Communicate with the Client’s representatives continuously regarding Project Progress and other areas of concern.
• Devising cost-effective plans to enable effective project completion.
• Manages project risks and implements a risk mitigation plan.
• Ensuring permits and legal papers are secured ahead of the project.
• Managing project managers and enabling them to supervise and manage their own teams.
• Working in an office and on a construction site.
• Reviews weekly and monthly reports.
• A degree in an construction management /Architectural/Civil Engineering degree.
• Recognized Project Management Qualification. (Added Advantage)
• 20 or more years of experience in managing large scale projects.
• Demonstrated experience on major master plans & residential developments as well as mixed use projects
