Job Description
The Restaurant General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Shape, a healthy casual dining restaurant. The GM ensures smooth coordination between Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH), manages financial performance, drives sales growth, maintains high customer satisfaction, and develops the restaurant team.
Key Responsibilities
· • Oversee daily operations of the restaurant (FOH & BOH).
· • Recruit, train, and manage staff across all departments.
· • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with UAE regulations.
· • Develop and execute marketing promotions and campaigns.
· • Manage procurement, inventory, and supplier relationships.
· • Monitor financial performance: sales, costs, and profitability (P&L responsibility).
· • Ensure excellent customer service and handle escalations effectively.
· • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for ownership.
· • Implement cost control strategies to optimize food and labor costs.
· • Build a positive and professional work culture within the team.
Job Requirements
· • Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in restaurant management (UAE/GCC preferred).
· • Proven leadership and team management skills.
· • Strong knowledge of restaurant financials (P&L, cost control, KPIs).
· • Experience in casual dining or healthy food concepts is a plus.
· • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results.
· • Knowledge of UAE labor laws and food safety regulations.
