Job description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled HVAC Chilled Water Technician to install, maintain, and repair chilled water piping systems for commercial and industrial HVAC applications. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of chilled water distribution, piping layouts, insulation, and HVAC mechanical systems.
Skills
- Install, assemble, and maintain chilled water piping systems, pumps, valves, strainers, and associated HVAC equipment.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, isometric diagrams, and system schematics.
- Perform leak testing, flushing, pressure testing, and system charging.
- Cut, thread, and weld or braze pipes using hand and power tools.
- Support the installation and connection of chillers, AHUs (air handling units), FCUs (fan coil units), and cooling coils.
- Ensure piping installations meet project specifications and comply with relevant codes and standards.
- Collaborate with HVAC technicians, engineers, and other trades on-site.
- Monitor and report progress, delays, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Ensure all tools, materials, and equipment are used safely and maintained properly.
- Assist in commissioning and troubleshooting chilled water systems.
